Suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann appeared in court Wednesday, where it was announced a hearing will be held to determine the admissibility of some DNA evidence in court. The next court date is scheduled for Dec. 17th A trial date has not yet to be set in the case.

Nassau police say two women and a child were injured Tuesday following a dog attack in Hicksville,The girl was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of facial injuries, and the two women were taken to a local area hospital to treat leg injuries.The dogs were secured by animal control.
