Many people’s introduction to AFSP comes through the Out of the Darkness Walks, taking place in cities nationwide. In our Community, Campus and Overnight Walks, those affected by suicide – and those who support them – raise awareness and much-needed funds, strongly sending the message that suicide can be prevented, and that no one is alone.

You will not be charged for parking. Parking is plentiful at Jones Beach Field # 5
Walk takes place along the boardwalk and is approximately 3 miles long. You can turn around at anytime to make the route shorter. Walk route is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Fundraising Reward! Earn a customized photo sign to honor/support a loved one to be displayed along walk route.
Raise $1,000 as a team (or individuals not on a team) by August 31st, and you will be given the opportunity to design a custom sign showing why you walk. Signs will be displayed along the walk route, and will be yours to keep after the walk. To have a sign created ( fundraising totals will be verified before sign is ordered) complete form and upload photo HERE
