Nassau County legislator vote to transfer the Nassau Coliseum lease and pass “Mask Transparency Act”

The Nassau County legislators voted Monday to transfer the Nassau Coliseum’s 42 year lease to Las Vegas Sands.
The legislators also approved the start of an environmental review required for any future development on the land, including a possible casino.
The Nassau County legislators also voted to approve the “Mask Transparency Act” that makes it illegal to wear a mask in public to hide one’s identity. Masks will still be allowed for health reasons, as well as religious purposes.
