Man arrested for assaulting officer in Valley Stream

A Valley Stream man is accused of assaulting a police officer on Saturday. Officers responded to a report of a man needing medical attention at a residence. The officers determined that he required medical treatment. Police say the suspect grew violent.
The suspect was ultimately arrested. He and the injured officer were then hospitalized for treatment.
